I was looking for a fun and easier way to generate an income online that did not require me to sell products that needed to be shipped. I was interested in digital products such as information, but I’m no genius. I also thought about writing a book to put online in ebook form to sell, but I did not have anything to write about. I did not have to have my own products to sell.
Affiliate income lets you earn a little bit from each sale. It is sort of like a commission. I could not make a fortune on commission sales if I was selling stuff in a store or even goods I had to ship if I was selling online. If I had a million customers, I would need a lot of help stuffing products into boxes, and that would seriously cut into the profits. However, if your product is fully digital, you can sell 24 hours per day on the Internet. And if it is fulfilled by someone else and you just get a commission, you can be asleep and earning money.
Then you just duplicate it by offering it across different domains. You build websites and work to generate the traffic you need to your websites. That is where the work is at. However, once you are established and are popping up in the search engine results, the traffic generation is a lot easier. It takes a little time to get rolling, but there still are opportunities to make money with an Internet business. I like the potential that affiliate marketing offers to people like me who are just getting started.
